Overview
A base for government
The Aurora Centre underwent major refurbishment and seismic strengthening in 2016; helping to future-proof the building’s long-term leasing and income generation potential and creating a new fit-for-purpose base for the Ministry of Social Development.
The re-development connected two buildings to create a larger, cohesive office space, encouraging collaboration and creating a more effective working environment. A new pavilion stretches the length of the terrace, providing cover at street level, while also adding light, personality, and street appeal to the building.
